Colección Estudio

Colección Estudio is a Mexico-based design studio founded in 2019 by three
Mexican designers: Andrés Cacho, Manuel López, and Daniel Martínez. Their
practice is grounded in a belief that objects should be made at a slower pace
and through more humane processes, drawing inspiration from stories and
techniques deeply rooted in Mexican culture.

Although each partner brings a distinct background—Cacho with a fine-art-
influenced approach to design, López with a specialization in textile and
material experimentation, and Martínez with a foundation in industrial design
and marketing—the trio describe their work as a shared language that evolves
through dialogue and constant experimentation. Their studio functions less
as a fixed location and more as an ongoing conversation, where each piece
develops layer by layer through exchange and refinement.

Colección Estudio has gained recognition through exhibitions and
international design platforms that highlight the sensorial and cultural depth of
their work. Their collection Fibra was featured as an example of contemporary
Mexican design that merges culture, materiality, and modernity, while their
presence in events such as Design Week México and San Francisco Design
Week has introduced their work to broader audiences.

At the core of their practice lies a conceptual commitment to reclaim craft
as a form of thought. They see repetition not as mere manual routine but as
a compositional act, and making as an intellectual and emotional process.
Through this perspective, Colección Estudio bridges tradition and innovation,
crafting objects that invite touch, reflection, and connection, transforming
design into a sensitive dialogue between material, memory, and time.
